For nine days, Odin hangs in the world tree, Yggdrasil. He hangs there sacrificed by himself, to himself. Without food or water, deeply wounded by his own spear, he endures the long nights in the tree. His goals were to gain knowledge and have the Runes revealed to him. Note that the Feh Rune is being highlighted with the intention to bring fulfillment, Wealth, and Prosperity to yourself or those around you.
Odin is also seen as a Shaman. In Shamanic practices, the Runes have an important role, some sings the Runes multiple times a day to bring balance and harmony to Urd's web. They also chant the whole Uthark or Futhark to heal or protect places.
